Crimson Blooms and Island Hues
My inspiration for this collection began with the beauty of a Hawaiian Thai plant growing in my backyard. I was struck by the many shades of deep reds and luminescent pinks as the sun filtered through the leaves.

Hawaiian Thai in Bloom- is a vibrant celebration of tropical foliage, inspired by the striking hues and flowing forms of the Hawaiian Thai plant. The leaves’ sweeping curves echo the elegance of natural movement, while layered textures reveal the subtle interplay of earthy browns and luminous magentas. Delicate botanical details weave through the design, highlighting the plant’s intricate beauty and bold presence. This pattern embraces the lush vitality of tropical landscapes, capturing the essence of nature’s dynamic harmony.

Thai leaf Curves and Hues is inspired by the captivating beauty of the Hawaiian Thai plant in my backyard. I love the leaf’s bold, graphic shapes reminiscent of Matisse cut-outs. AsI sketched the curvy leaves, I uncovered intricate linear stripes of greens and browns, perfectly contrasted with the plant’s radiant magenta tones. This pattern celebrates the harmonious interplay of organic forms and vibrant colors found in nature.

The Hibiscus Love pattern celebrates the striking beauty of the pink hibiscus blooming by my front doorway. I layered textures and hand-drawn details to capture the natural flow of the hibiscus flowers. Blending layers to capture the plant’s tropical essence. Created in Procreate and refined in Adobe Illustrator, this design reflects the timeless charm of hibiscus blooms, adding a touch of the tropics to the Tropical Tapestry collection.
